Yes true believers, starting today, we’re holding an OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS for a chance to be selected to accompany other established artists at the official EMPTY KINGDOM and SELECT FAIR art exhibition!
The EK/SELECT exhibition will be held in the infamous South Beach area at the Catalina Hotel in Miami, Florida where we’ll be carrying out a complete art take over! The entire Catalina Hotel building will function as one high-energy, collective gallery, transforming 64 rooms into individual galleries for a unique and intimate art experience.
This is an exclusive opportunity to have your work exhibited along side established artists featured on EK in one of the world’s most recognized art events! EK will be selecting up to 5-10 artists for this awesome opportunity!
We fully intend to work towards upholding our 90/10 commitment, but in the mean time we’re giving what we can. We will be splitting all sold artwork 45/45/10. 10% of the sale price will go to a charity of the artist’s choice and the remaining 90% will be split in half, with 45% going to the artist the other 45% to EK.

THE SKINNY:
- $35.00 USD flat submission fee via PayPal for up to 5 art pieces per submission.
- Individuals may submit extra art pieces for an extra $10.00 USD EACH after exceeding the initial 5 art piece limit.
- Students can make a special submission to waive their fee if they are accepted.
- Selected artists will cover their own transportation to and from the EK/SELECT FAIR show.
- Transportation of the art pieces to and from the EK/SELECT FAIR show will be provided by EK.
- SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Thursday, October 30th, 2013 (10/30/2013) – 11:59PM (Pacific Standard Time -7 GMT)

Please take in to consideration the following guidelines when sending a direct email submission:
• Enter in SUBJECT LINE: “Submission for EK SELECT”
(All submitters who DO NOT enter the specific title for the SUBJECT LINE will not be considered)
• Bio/Resume
• Artist Statement
• Link to an online portfolio specifically stating which pieces will be up for consideration (OR) attached images of your work in JPEG, GIF or PNG format (at least 600 pixels wide or larger)
• Contact information: personal email + phone number + PayPal email (if different from personal email)
• All submitters MUST make their payment via PayPal for $35.00 USD for up to 5 art pieces for consideration.
• Extra art pieces may be submitted for a fee of $10.00 USD EACH after exceeding the initial 5 art piece limit.
(All submitters must specify in the body of the email the number of extra art pieces that will be submitted for consideration)
• All payments MUST be made within 24 hours of emailing EK your official submission entry.
• All submitters MUST enter “Your-Name submission for EK SELECT” as a message (or “Special Instructions”) in PayPal at the time of payment.
